You are right, save the USA from right-wing republican bigots and hatemongers. The party of no will not take over either the senate or the house. Obama's approval rating went up five points this week with the passage of the health insurance plan. Democrats have nothing to worry about.

More partisanship from the Party of No? Yeah, that'll make everything all better!

Tennessee has the second-lowest voter participation in the nation.
It is reflected in the poor quality of our elected officials.
Then, again, the entire country is ruled by very poor-quality elected officials.
Some cynic pointed out long ago that if elections really could make a difference, they would be illegal.
In Tennessee, genuine democratic elections are almost illegal: Only the two old parties are allowed on the ballot, so voters are not given much by way of real choice.
And that might help explain why so few people do bother to vote.

And if we could also avoid left-wing and Democrat bigots and hatemongers, we might be on the way to creating a paradise. Alas, the left-wing and Democrat bigots and hatemongers control the "news" media, so getting rid of them will be difficult.

Republicans will make mild gains in 2010, but they will be reversed in 2012 with the reelection of Obama.

Dick Morris as soon as I seen his name I stopped reading. He's the male Ann Coulter. I think I'm not convinced Coulter is female. Dick is a touch more handsome with a more toned down adams apple.

Two points: This is the kind of ugly personal name-calling that so often comes from the left rather than any kind of reasoned discussion. And your closed-mindedness -- "I stopped reading" -- further contributes to divisiveness and in no way contributes to finding answers. I think it was a great man who said leftists seek complexities and conservatives seek answers. Though I don't have any particular brief for conservatives, I think these days it is shown there is a lot of truth in that statement.

I agree, I reckon you don't watch much Fox Noise or listen too conservative talkers like Rush, Hannity, Ingraham, Humphries etc..They've maid themselves a decent living off name calling. This is a very puzzling comment. If you agree, then why do you join in the name-calling? I mean, those people you name -- at least most of them -- have indeed "maid" a decent living, but they're not leftists and you're not one of them. So what on earth are you talking about? Second, I do listen, for a while, to many of the talkers (only in the car, though, because my home radio is permanently set on a classical music station), but I switch off when the silliness and the name-calling start. I also watch Fox as well as the others, but must count on C-SPAN for the straight facts ... well, at least the non-filtered reporting of certain events, However, I think for myself, and I do think. There are certain standards against which I measure what the politicians and posters say. Primarily, the standard is the ZAP, or NAP, which is the Zero or Non-Aggression Principle.

I'm with ya. Your post seemed to say just lefties were name callers. I must've misunderstood. I don't listen to much talkers anymore except sports, local talk and Phil Hendrie. I don't need a talking head to tell me what to think.

Overall the pendulum is swinging back after a 30 year swing to the right. But history shows that there will be a modest gain for the opposition party in this off year election.

Hey! I resemble that remark. I say it frequently and even recently.
But I still vote all the time because it is my civic duty. I just don't actually expect it to help.

I think it's due to the extreme lack of education of the Tennessee people and their backwards bible-thumpin' attitudes, not the politicians.

I think it's due to gays getting married in Massachusetts and thinking that they are still married when they move to Tennessee and then when they learn that their boyfriend/husband/wife doesn't love them anymore(as if they ever did) they'll just find them someone else to take up with and act as if the fake marriage in Massachusetts or wherever never even happened. Because gay marriages DO NOT EXIST IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA,
