Best Thing About The Wisteria Café Is Dessert by Janet Wilson posted August 18, 2011 Last weekend we visited the Wisteria Café at 6849 Prestige Lane in Hixson (corner of Boy Scout and Middle Valley). Last time we were there, it was a combination jewelry store/café and I believe it was called The Café. It has now changed hands. The Wisteria Café has a buffet daily (All Day Southern Buffet). The buffet includes soup, salad, a multitude of veggies, three meats, dessert, and drink. Of course, if you like, you can always order from the menu which has a lot of southern style items to choose from. I really wanted to try the chicken and dumplings (made from scratch), but we decided to go with the buffet in order to try more items. A few of the other items on the menu are pork roast, roast beef, country style steak, catfish, fried to order chicken livers, shrimp and Dijon chicken. Platters are priced from $6.75 to $10.99 and include the entrée and two sides. Sides as listed on the menu include fried potatoes with onions, sweet potato casserole, homemade slaw, fried squash, pinto or white beans, and homemade pimento cheese. If any of your favorites from the menu are not on the buffet you can add it to your plate for $.75. Read more: chattanooganHad lunch there today and I highly recommend it. It has officially been placed "On the Rotation".
