Opened my Comcast email browser this morning and an ad for "JEFFERSONS wings, burgers, oysters" popped up. I had never heard of the place located at 618 Georgia Ave. Is it new? I see it is a franchise out of Alabama, any thoughts? Better yet, are the OYSTERS road trip worthy? I can get wings and burgers anywhere, but usually travel to Knoxville for these delectable delights.

Oystered up at a Jefferson's in Summerville, Ga. Oysters perfectly O.K., bright and briney. If they are too small, they give you a few extra; 15 in my dozen. Amaturish shucking job; some shell pieces and grit. Easy Bistro has some nice oysters, and the $3/dozen (limit two) Thurs. night is well worth it. 'Course, nothing like Felix or Acme
Jefferson's has been there for awhile now and always seems to do a good business, especially during lunch. I've been several times and the food is good. When there is a problem, they make it right. Cat is the best little server that they have there. She gets to know her regular customers and what they like and takes excellent care of all her customers. Their daily specials are good and if you go at lunch, you need to get there early or you may have to wait.
