The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball team dropped a 73-70 Southern Conference game to visiting Georgia Southern tonight. Eagles guard Jelani Hewitt hit a three-pointer with no time on the clock for the win. UTC led by as many as 16 points in the second half before being handed its fifth loss in a row. Chattanooga drops to 9-14 overall and 3-7 in league play, while Georgia Southern moves to 9-12 and 7-4 in SoCon action. The Mocs were playing without two of their top players tonight. Starting senior forward Jahmal Burroughs (New Orleans, La.) and sophomore forward Z. Mason (Nashville, Tenn.) were both sidelined with injuries. Despite being shorthanded, UTC played well for most of the night. Senior guard Keegan Bell (Huntsville, Ala.) broke out of a prolonged shooting slump by scoring the Mocs' first seven points. He had 10 points in the first eight minutes of play as UTC built a 16-9 lead. www.wrcbtv.com/story/16625022/mocs-drop-another-heartbreaker-gsu-75-utc-72
