So I've got a $50 gift card from restaurants.com. Thing is there's only a handful of local restaurants that support it/participate. So I'm trying to figure out which is the best place to spend it. Any thoughts? I like good sushi, so I'm thinkin about trying out RAW, the sushi place downtown... but the others aren't bad either. And then there's always Buds. (just drink the $50)
RAW
The Melting Pot
N'awlins (in Cleveland)
Herman's Soul Food
The Station House
Buds Sportsbar

Herman's is an honest endeavor. $50 might get you half a meal at Melting Pot, assuming you like cooking your own food at table.

Some friends and I used to eat lunch at RAW a couple of times a month, but stopped going because of the lack of cleanliness there and the bugs that seemed to be overrunning the place.

run away from the rat hole as fast as you can. If you are looking for middle-of-road cut cocaine you've found an excellent source, if you want servers w/ big boobs and high on cocaine you'll be delighted, If you want to dance w/ a bunch of losers on a variety of drugs - go upstairs and you'll be in heaven, etc etc
I think you get my point

Those the only choices?
Herman's would prolly be my choice. Course, I would take fried chicken over anything "fancy" any day of the week so I'm a bit biased from the start. N'awlin s I've heard nothing but good things about. But I've heard that it's pricey for what it is, though.

Believe it or not, Buds has really good food and a no smoking room.
And the drinks don't "suck" either.. [grin]

Go to Herman's. Ask if the Ham Hocks are fatty today. If told no, order and enjoy. Otherwise get the million dollar meat loaf or the country fried steak.
For $50, you should be able to eat there four times.

On my budget, I would use the card at N'awlins as Buds and Hermans are both affordable.

N'awlins is gone...unless they've moved somewhere else.

Thanks all for the feedback.
" Only thing worth eating at Melting pot is desserts. "
From what I remember, an appetizer and/or dessert alone may be close to $50!

I vote for Bud's and Herman's. I used to live within walking distance of Herman's. 'Nuff said.
