“The Simpsons” executive producer Al Jean said he had no idea how long the series would last when he signed on in 1989. And now, after 500 episodes, he still has no idea how long it will run. “We’re definitely going to do a total of 559, that’s what the new deal is,” Jean told reporters Thursday in a call to tease Sunday’s 500th episode airing on Fox at 8 p.m. “I don’t know where the end is.
