So, Domino's added a gluten free pizza base to their menu options, and I decided to give it a shot. I saw the warning that it's not cooked in a dedicated oven and cross-contamination could happen, but I wasn't too worried. I guess I should have been.
So I ordered the Hawaiian. It arrived about 30 minutes later in the only available size: small. It cost $16 and change without tip and all I could think was that it's been 15 years or so since I last had pizza delivery. Oh to be able to have pizza delivery available to me again! That would be almost as good as bagels. Or Guinness.
The pizza was ok. I like Mellow Mushroom's version a tad better though this crust was thicker and hence more to my taste. The problem? After a bit I could feel the cross contamination. I'm not brittle in my intolerance, and I could feel it. So yeah, if you're gluten free for medical reasons, this is not going to work. If you're just trying it on for fun or as part of a fad diet, yeah you can eat it. If Dominos or any one of the delivery chains ever adds a second, dedicated oven I'll try again. Until then, I guess I have to stick to frozen pizza, or going out to a pizza joint that has made the adjustments for my overpriced sinful goodness.

Well, like the Orkin commercial pizza-delivering cockroach, I know what to send to your house now.

I'd expect nothing less from my CMF stalker.
