Aceman,
While Bob the Building was responsible for the Swaption bonds that cost the taxpayers $15 million in penalties in an agreement no one would sign with their own money, and he was a horses ass to people, he is not responsible for the waterfront. River City and the City of Chattanooga building officials are, and ignored major defects. This is in Circuit Court depositions.
I just want to ask one question, could the City get a more incompetent City Attorney? It is well known that after a person is damaged, you have a limited about of time to file a lawsuit. The City Attorney missed it by 3 years. This is the same attorney that filed a 200 page appeal brief, then forgot to file a motion to reconsider to the lower court, a very elementary procedural requirement commonly known.
The City Attorney is incompetent is why they lost the case.

Bob fast tracked the waterfront, for some campaign fodder for his senate run. He's responsible for the shoddy workmanship that were dealing with now. That man has no business in public office.

It is sickening how the public equates lots of cashola to goodness, or to the business competence of people. The ability to swindle and cheat is wrongly viewed by the public as a good businessman. That is the criteria for Federal Office, rich and ruthless. How screwed up is that?
As a former municipal engineer, the municipality was mandated to inspect at every stage under building codes and construction practice, regardless of the pace. Bob the Builder is one on the early HUD robbers in my opinion. Sadly, stealing money from the taxpayers is TIF easy.
We like our Federal reps Rich and Dirty, D or R does not matter.
