Well, since you "knew" this would surface, surely you "knew" Charlie Rogers was an outspoken advocate for gay rights and was readily identifiable as an icon of the movement.
Nice job trying to get some stand-off from the splatter, if you'll pardon the pun.

Wheels, the big difference with Akin is that he is running for elected office and can affect public policy. you don't think the girl was trying to affect public policy?

Nice job trying to get some stand-off from the splatter, if you'll pardon the pun. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Believe it or not, after some heavy duty soul searching and thinking, I'll have to agree with you on what you said about Rogers. We in the LGBT community SHOULD HAVE stood up and in a loud voice condemned what she did, and not have pulled our head into our shell like a turtle. Truthfully, I had the "don't say anything and it will go away" problem that I've accused others of before, and I apologize. I just hope this doesn't become The Boy That Cried Wolf syndrome in every ones mind when someone comes forward and says they were a victim of a hate crime. Just because someone champions an issue doesn't mean that person should be put on a pedestal and above scrutiny and criticism. I, of all the people I know, should've recognized that.

Thanks. Most people call me a flaming bull$hit blower. When I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I have no problem admitting it when it slaps me in the face. I tell you what, when I hit the power ball, the drinks and feast are on me (but please don't hold your breath- I have Charlie Brown's luck).
