It's understandable when a pro sports franchise moves cities that they often want to change their name. When the Houston Oilers moved to Nashville -- not noted for being an oil town -- they eventually changed their name to the Tennessee Titans. Same thing with the Montreal Expos who moved to Washington, DC and became the Senators. So it's not too surprising when the New Orleans Hornets franchise, which started life in Charlotte, is considering changing their name. They new name, however, is a bit... odd. According to Marcus J. Spears of Yahoo Sports, the Hornets may change their name to the Pelicans as early as the 2013-14 season. Per the report, the team also considered nicknames "Krewe" and "Brass." Pelicans?
