The absolute only thing I don't complain about with all the xmas crap being on the shelfs before thanksgiving is even here-tins of butter cookies Got a tin today and they are just sooo good-one of my comfort foods to be certain.

Whenever my Mom visits, it is a requirement that she bake her home made butter cookies....mmmmm. Lucky you-if my mother were to visit I'd prefer she not cook anything-bad bad bad cook Sadly the tin we got was small and as the boy discovered he likes butter cookies (only other one in the house who does thank god) I'm currently eating the last few cookies with tea while the kids sleep

My Mom's MEALS were always good, but her DESSERTS are to die for! She makes the best invention known to man evey Christmas: Napolean Cremes! This granola bar that I'm munching on just started to taste stale......

Very soon....roast turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes w/gravy, ham, sweet potato casserole (of course), green beans, corn, several condiments/pickles and pecan pie a la mode for dessert. (I didn't even need Grandpa Jones to yell this out of a window.)

....and it WAS delicious. Just finished the last of the turkey on a sandwich (7 grain bread, Miracle Whip Light and home-made carrot relish (sweet)).
