The Chattanooga Beer Board on Thursday suspended the beer license of Bonice Restaurant and Lounge on Rossville Boulevard for the second time since its opening in December.
The license is suspended for three days beginning next Thursday.
The lounge purchased beer from BI-LO and had beer in open coolers while minors were in the bar. In Chattanooga an establishment cannot be a bar and a teen club. Also, police said, the bar’s telephone was out of order, another violation.
Owner Bonice Braden said she had agreed to host a teen party for her nephew only two days before. He, another nephew and one of their friends were the only minors in the bar at the time of the police check. They were setting up for the party that was to begin in about 45 minutes.
