We have been looking forward to the opening of the second Blue Orleans location. This one at 1463 Market Street, is a complete turn-around from the first location - much more upscale with nice decor and ambiance. They are in the old Clark Brothers Furniture building that has been remodeled. The front of the building is open and you enter into a common area with several shops, including the Main & Mocha eatery. The lower level is being worked on at this point in time. To the left of the common entry you will see the glass entrance door to Blue Orleans. There are several appetizers on the dinner menu including a garden salad, Gumbo du Jour, Fried Green Tomatoes, Brew Battered Mushrooms, Crawfish Fritters, Crab & Artichoke Dip and Louisiana Crab Cakes. Prices range from $3 for the salad to $8 for the crab cakes. Wayne and I selected the Crab & Artichoke Dip served with toasted slices of French Baguette. The dip was certainly plentiful, but we were able to finish it off. It was delicious; I could have made a meal off just that. www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_115480.asp
