So today I find myself out on Ringgold Road near I-75 for a mid-day photo shoot. Afterwards, I decided to use one of my "second chance" coupons I received from Hardee's after the 23rd Street fiasco. The coupon is good for a free burger or chicken sandwich, which is a reasonble coupon.
So, I pulled into the Hardee's there on Ringgold Road around 1:15 and was happy to see no other cars waiting in line. I pulled up the drivethrough speaker and waited for a greeting.
And waited.
Finally, after about a minute and nothing more than a faint gurgle through the speaker that could have been human speech, I cleared my throat loudly and said, "Hello?"
"Please wait a minute," came the immediate reply.
So I did.
And I waited.
And I waited some more.
After about two minutes (though it always seems much longer when waiting), I once again said hello... and received no response at all.
So, hoping that someone in the restaurant was listening, I loudly said, "I guess I'll just have to go to McDonald's if I want lunch anytime today." As I drove away, there was a car sitting at the window and at least two employees at the window.
Footnote: McDonald's had five cars in line when I pulled in, yet I was able to make my order, pay and received my fresh and hot food within three minutes, a very good pace for a drive-thru line.

It's been my experience that most of the restaurants on Ringgold Road aren't worth two dimes due to the slow service.
Ryan's I will take out of that list because it's mostly self-serve but their steaks are sub-par.

It probably wouldnt hurt to steer clear of the Hardees or McDonalds. You have no idea what you are eating at mcdonalds.....i dont even think its real food, with the exception of the chicken. Hardees..good!! not good for you
