I was also a waitress at the Sailmaker...Tooth Fairy and then later Lilly Law. I remember you Super Girl. I ran into Cat Woman a few years, she works downtown... What a great place to work, must have been 50 people on staff...Fun, Fun, Fun!

How about the Jolly Ox (Steak & Ale). Do you know/remember why it was called the Jolly Ox? Don't remember why it was called Jolly ox but I did work there, as a buss boy/ dishwasher. Shortly after it became Steak&Ale I was promoted to bartender.

Not that old compared to some, but we had dinner yesterday at the Riverside Catfish house, which has been there since the 60's.

The Sailmaker @tooth Fairy That would be the BEST reunion ever if we all got together in costume again. How did you find Cat Woman?

My high school senior class had our Banquet at The Islander; we felt so sophisticated. I still have a picture of me in the long dress I had made wearing a corsage and a plastic lei. We were bussed up from Calhoun GA

OLD BARS question: I cannot remember the name of a place where I used to be a cocktail waitress (before I got upgraded to a server at the Sailmaker). It was at the top of a hotel and I want to say it was a Holiday Inn somewhere around Cameron Hill area. It was--what else?--disco music!! Anyone remember it?

I worked at Jolly Ox for a few months before they changed the name to steak and ale (because tennessee law forbade "ale" in the name as did other states)
Dr Meadows of physicians care was a waiter, me and his little brother bussed tables until I was promoted to bartender and robert to waiter.
Good times!!
I left there and went to work at Faces. I'm sure many of you remember that place.

Anyone remember a little place that was in the parking lot of the Red Food store on Lee Hywy & Shallowford Rd? I think it was called Burgerhaus.

Anyone remember a little place that was in the parking lot of the Red Food store on Lee Hywy & Shallowford Rd? I think it was called Burgerhaus. yep!,don't know how many students from Tyner (me included) would sneak down there for lunch only to find the Principal Harry Phillips and 1 or 2 other teachers already in there eating

I had been away for a few years, overseas and such, and came back to my old home town. Wanted to go out for a really good meal... went to the Loft... Whaaaat? Okay, it isn't far; the best restaurant in town still has to be Fehn's! Went there. Yer killin' me!
Okay, enough of that - I will go to that place over on Amnicola by the river - the Sand Bar... Okay. McDonald's it is.

The Old South on Broad Street. Shakies (Shaky's ?) Pizza on Brainerd Road. Davy's Dock on Brainerd Road. A restaurant above Loveman's downtown (Can't remember the name), and a grill in the basement of Miller's Downtown.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, I had the privilege of inspecting a series of restaurants for a machinery and equipment appraisal. Because the owners declined to provide a listing of Subject Assets, I took my lovely and clever wife along as "clipboard" assistant. She wrote while I measured, called out manufacturer names and model numbers, took pictures with my faithful Casio Exilim. restaurants in las vegas

I was trying to remember the name of the coolest restaurant in Chattanooga with the fantastic waiter/actor/comedians that were in costume back in the 70's ... Thank you so much for saying it! The Sailmaker! I am so happy to hear from one of the wait staff... You all were so AWESOME! Seems to me that someone should open up another restaurant with that theme! I think it would do very well!
