Published March 29, 2007 10:24 AM EDT Paperwork has been filed in Polk County Criminal Court indicating prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty for a man accused of killing his wife’s friend and allegedly attempting to murder his wife. Davis Bradley Waldroup Jr. was informed earlier this week the 10th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office has filed a notice of intent to seek the death penalty in the October 2006 murder of Leslie Susan Bradshaw and attempted murder of his estranged wife, Penny Waldroup. “Penny Waldroup was taking her children to see their father Davis Bradley Waldroup. Penny and Bradley had just recently separated and Penny was dropping the children off for the weekend,” according to investigators shortly after the alleged homicide. Officials indicated Bradshaw had traveled with Penny Waldroup to the residence where her estranged husband lived.
