CPD homicide investigators are on the scene of shooting and cutting at the Hamilton Inn at 2717 Rossville Blvd. We have learned a male subject came in search of his girlfriernd and found her in the room with another subject, a disorder led to a scuffle. One subject has suffered stab wounds and the other has sustianed gunshot wounds.
Both of these subjects have been transported to Erlanger and are in serious condition. The female was not injured. The investigation is continuing and I will release other details as they become available.

Chattanooga Police Homicide Detectives state April 26th around 3:10 am, patrol officers were called to the Hamilton Inn at 2717 Rossville Blvd. and shots fired. Upon their arrival they found Randall Brady 30, of 1716 Mitchell Ave with a gunshot wound to the back, they also found Elberth Colvin on the parking lot suffering from a laceration to the head and face.
Witness’s state Elbert Colvin went to Brady’s to check on his girlfriend and a fight broke out, during the Colvin was stabbed and Brady was shot.
Both subjects are at Erlanger being treated fro their injuries and are in critical but stable condition.
Warrants have been obtained for Elberth Colvin for Especially Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Assault and Attempted First Degree Murder. The investigation is still ongoing.
