An attempted-murder charge has been dropped against Timothy Beasley, who also is awaiting trial in connection with the fatal shooting of Tory Hardy just after the Bessie Smith Strut in 2003. Beasley had been charged in connection with a shooting in last October of last year at 2400 5th Ave. His bond was revoked after that arrest, and he has been in jail since early November. His attorney, Robin Flores, said the alleged victim in the shooting, Leon McKinney, had repeatedly tried to call Beasley at the jail. He said when McKinney reached Beasley he "recanted everything." www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_106298.asp
