New place opening soon in Red Bank called Red Rock Grill located in the old watering hole behind the Waffle House on Dayton Blvd. Owners are Jim Biggs and Johnny Dunn, who also own United Services, which service apartment complexes. Executive chef is Mr. Wolfgang Poe from the Chattanooga Choo Choo.

If you're serious (and with a risk of straying from prescribed food-only postings), I'd love to know more about fossil finds over there....

Not sure what Bryan is talking about, but I have visited the Red Rock Grill - once for lunch and another for dinner. The food was fantastic. If you haven't tried a Kobe burger, you don't know what you are missing. The burgers are huge!! The atmosphere was casual, clean and inviting. Chef Wolfgang came to my table to inquire about my dining experience. It was one of the best meals I have had at a restaurant in a long time. This is what Red Bank has been missing. I give it two thumbs up!!!

I'm quite serious, it was passed along to me by another home schooler. Let me look though my emails and see if I can find the source and details....

Everyone needs to try this place! Great food, great atmosphere, and great people. If you go in, you're sure to meet the owners, who are there almost all the time to make sure you're dining experience is a good one. Went in for dinner last night and the place was packed! They did this one right, not just another bar, this is a good restaurant. I'll definately be back, there's a bartender/server I've got my eye on ;-)

This place has great food and a great atmosphere, but has some serious kinks to work out. I have dined there twice, and partaked in lunch once. They have a huge problem with the kitchen staff. First of all, it's a small place, and your voice carrys. I heard the chef, Wolfgang, (I know it was him because he visited my table THREE times during my meal. RIDICULOUS. If we want the chef, we'll ask for him. Otherwise STAY in the KITCHEN!) anyway...my guest and I heard him cussing a server through the food window, for something he left off to begin with. If the menu says it comes with something on it, it should. Come on Mr. Wolfgang, even McDonald's does that right. He cussed this poor girl loudly, and my table was not the only table to hear him. I also heard him speak inappropriately with another server. Once again, loudly. He doesn't realize how many people in this community serve or have served, and that crap won't fly. I'll give it another chance, but if he comes to my table more than once during my meal again, or if I "overhear" him cussing the staff, it'll be the end. Has anyone else experienced this? And jimmyb, which server you after?

jimmyb has his eye on the one that is always giving him the free shots of Crown on a daily basis. Crown for breakfast, Crown for lunch and Crown for dinner!
Been there too, I give it a few months, if that. Don't think it will last. Too many wanna-be Chiefs and not enough Indians to make it work. Mediocre food to say the least. Wanna impress me, serve me a gourmet Peanut Butter & Jelly, not something I can't even pronounce! And just how would I know its a Kobe burger and not a ground chuck from Sams Club?
The server I had was too busy giving a guy all the free Crown, LOL
Damn that drunk on his Harley! Way to much Crown! Watch for the RBPD, Oh wait he has connections, they drink Crown too!

OH WELL..... this dump has closed too.... thanks in part to the deceitfulness of a "Head Chef" that doesn't know how to cook his way out of a sack..... and whom indeed has no problem in breaking the law to avoid payment of debt. At least I got MOST of what he owed, and everyone help me keep an eye out for him!!! that order is good for a few years!!

The Sunday brunch yesterday was a real treat & the Lord family (who own & run the place) are 1st rate. I highly recommend a Notta Brunch there sometime in the future ....

I read Janet's review of it in Chattanoogan.com. She loved it. It does sound like a good place for a Notta Brunch. Remember the wonderful ones we had at Michelle's?

here we go again my exact thoughts also.
I want to know why anyone would pay a bar owner any amount of money when the landlord owns the building, and all the equipment down to the sliverware? As in this case, what did $10,000 get you? A place that has failed twice. Good luck my friends. You'll need a lot of it in Red Bank! Either that, or show me where in Florida your money trees are planted.
