Follow up question: where did you go and how long did you stay? I stayed at home for my son's spring break for a week and we painted the inside of the house. It was actually a lot of fun. We got to sleep late, we ate out almost every night and we hung out with each other and listened to music while we painted. The PIO came and visited us at lunch time too.

The last vacation We visited my father in Penna.
Spent the week helping him get his house ready for the winter.
Just about all my vacation time goes to visiting family as they all live elsewhere.

The wife and I took a Celebrity Cruise over the winter school holiday while the kids spent a week with her parents (who were happy to have them) in Orlando. We got a great vacation and the kids drove my in-laws nuts. Life is good.

We took a long weekend at the end of spring break and went camping at Stone Mtn. Took in the aquarium and visited The Varsity.
The weather was awesome and we had a great time.

I went to West Palm Beach for a week of diving. It was cold, but I saw some neat stuff and had a good time. Even got to catch a Ren Fair while I was down there. That was a couple years back.

I only count it as a vacation if a) it is more than 3 days (ruling out long weekends and cons) and b) I'm paying for the lodging (a week with family doesn't cut it). By those rules, my last vacation was my honeymoon. I need another, badly.

Define "vacation". If you're talking about taking time off from work for a period of a week or so, then about a year (not counting the last six months of unemployment). If you're talking about taking time away from work and going somewhere/doing something special, fuck if I can remember.

I went to Fl last fall for my grandfathers funeral, but I wouldn't consider that a vacation...last vacation was when hubby and I went to Nashville for our honeymoon last April...but THIS year, we are leaving for 10 days and going to New Hampshire to see my dad in July. I can't wait!

Wow......embedded in the bone. That must have hurt like crazy.. It doesn't sound like the instructor should be sued though.. It seems like it was just a *very* unfortunate accident,

Last "Family Get-Away" was a weekend in Gatlinburg about 4 years ago. Did Dollywood, and all the Ripley's stuff - which includes the Aquarium and Mini-Golf.
Last VACCATION (more than a weekend) was like ten years ago when we took Jake to Florida and did the Disney, MGM, Universal theme parks.
Reason #47 - Why we are NOT running a haunted house... If Scarlett doesn't get out of town and just CHILL some this summer, she's going to KILL something... or someone.

Went to Puerto Vallarta for 4 nights in Feb. Very cool place. We were there for a wedding and are now planning to go back for a week in October for a more relaxed time there. Great scenery, some really good food, the people are very nice, overall we had a wonderful time. The tequila tour was a real high point (grin).

Based on Worms definition, I did vacation for a couple weeks at Vanderbilt Hospital followed by a few weeks at Memorial. Boy am I ever paying for that stay...
The drugs were good, but the nightlife sortof sucked...

By Worms definition it was last summer - half a week at the Redneck Riviera
Bob probably had better drugs, but we tried...
