I found a coupon in the Mint Magazine for Shane's Rib Shack. I figured what the hell, I work half a mile from the place so my brother and I tried it out today. The coupon stated "Any 2 Sandwiches, Any 2 Sides, and 2 drinks for $9.99." We get to the counter to order and I order a Smothered Pork Sandwich (Pork & Cole Slaw on bun) with Fries and drink. My brother ordered The Big Dad Sandwich (plain BBQ sandwich), Fries and drink. When he ordered this sandwich, the older lady behind the counter quickly interjected "you'll get the Little Dad with this coupon." Nowhere on the menu did either one of us see a Little Dad. We laughed about her pissy attitude, and went and sat down. When our food was brought out the waitress just kind of slid both of our baskets over to us, and I asked which one had cole slaw. She said that she did not know, and it turns out neither one did. I told her I had ordered the sandwich with cole slaw, and she took both baskets away back to the kitchen. She quickly returned and informed me that my sandwich doesn't come with cole slaw, set the basket down, and walked away. Keep in mind, on the menu itself it says it comes with cole slaw, on the receipt it had what I had ordered printed out and it was correct. I decided that it wasn't worth my time sending it back again, and just ate it. The sandwich was tiny, it was NOT one of their original sandwiches, but some other that I guess is reserved for people with coupons. I had one bite left when the manager (who I had initially ordered from) came by to check, I told her that my sandwich didn't have slaw, and the waitress said it didn't come with it. She said that the waitress was wrong, and she would bring me a little cup of slaw so that it could mix with the BBQ in my stomach...I declined. She then reminded me to order the Smothered Sandwich next time...which I had initially ordered.
To make a long story short. They are way overpriced, the service sucks, I prefer just about any BBQ place in town over them, and I will never return.
If you decide to use your coupons there, be prepared to be treated accordingly.

Same thing happen to me at Shane's with a coupon. I had a buy 12 wings get 12 free. I ordered and the lady at the counter stated that that coupon was dine in only and not to be used for a take out order. I ordered them anyway, they where ok, nothing special. I did have a sandwich there once and it was ok, again nothing special.

It fills one's belly and sort of tastes like barbeque. I don't dislike it but I rarely eat there.

Been once, and only once. Not worth it at all. I recall a similiar experience not only with the quantity of the food, but the quality as well as the service. IMHO, don't waste your time there.

Wasn't it Mint Magazine that had the coupon for the dog groomere? He sheared the dog to the skin. I'm not going to expect anything much out of a coupon from there.

GooGoo's coupons are the best by far. The rest of Mint has been sucking ass lately. Nobody wants a fucking coupon for $100 off of a $1000 window job right now. Anyways, when you have to present the coupon up front it's not like we all don't know they add it up front. I guess there are some dumbasses out there.

The ribs are adequate but just barely. The potato salad and mac & cheese were really good but not enough to make me desire another trip.

If their ribs and BBQ are garbage rest assured that the mac and cheese and potato salad are packaged garbage full of MSG and fat to make it taste somewhat decent....screw this

This place is to BBQ as Taco Bell is to Mexican food. I've never ate at one but I agree, any chain Bar b Que joint has to be subpar. Mom and Pops are definitely the way to go.
