Best Pizza in town is at Portofino's in East Ridge

I was really shocked at how good it is. The crust, sauce, cheese and toppings are all first rate. I've had the best pizza from NY and Chicago and I gotta say that Portofino's ranks right up there.

I'm taking it that the pizza is a Chattanooga style pizza and it is just as good as a Chicago style or New York style purchased in the premier pizza joints in those cities.

I've not eaten there in 10 years or so, but the pizza was pretty good. Nothing I'd go all the way to East Ridge for mind you, nor would I compare it to the best pizza I've had.

I've never had better than mediocre food there. Never tried the pizza, but from what I have tried, I've been in no hurry to.

The pizza sucks...trust me.....nothing there has ever been that great.....about the only thing that I liked from there was the customers and the tips, oh and the fact that I met Mike there and then met half of you....that is about it......

I've only been getting pie there for a couple of months, maybe they changed it but I stand by what I said, it's really really great.

take it from someone who used to work there for over 14 years......it sucks.....and I agree with everyone else.....maybe u haven't had really good pizza.....cause that stuff is just not worth the money they pay for the toppings to put on it........

The best pizza from this area is the one that comes out of making it yourself and putting it in your own oven....however I did like the one over in East Ridge I think it is called Big Guys or something like that....their BBQ Chicken Pizza is the best I have ever had....

cadillacdude-I am with you, I used to love Godfather's pizza back in the day.....I remember every Friday when my dad got paid, we used to go to Godfather's, that was our Friday night dinner....however, we used to go to the one in Ft. Oglethorpe....

I don't think Portofino's pizza sucks, especially that supreme pizza with the feta cheese - love it. But I wouldn't classify their pizza as the best in town, nor would I say the worst in town.. It is just different from anyone else's. I've had several entrees and they were mediocre. But I love their salad bar and soups.

Atlanta finally got decent pizza and then I up & moved here. The only decent pizza I've found in Chatt, other than Mellow Mushroom & Lupi's, is Fat Daddy's over near the Rave.
