I have friends coming into town this weekend and they love Sunday brunch. What places in Chattanooga has brunch and which ones do you think are best. I'd really appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!

Tookie, Northshore does a bloody mary brunch as does Bluewater (Bluewater also has live jazz) My favorite and where you will find me an many a sunday afternoon is Foodworks, they are under new management , new menu items...and with purchase of a brunch entree (starting at 6.99) the mimosa's are a dollar..

FoodWorks is under new management? thank god.
that was the one thing that was really holding that place down.
If the weather is good (which it probably won;t be) Northshore is my fav for that sort of thing.

Best Sunday Brunch I've had in Chattanooga lately was at Harbor Lights when my brother invited Stychen and me to join them and their friends on the dock for Sunday Brunch. Everyone brought a dish and munched on the goodies from mid-morning until a little after noon. I think those kind of brunches are always the best.

Lila, would you be going there today? Felix and I are thinking about going there. Or Red Rock Grill might be fun.

Sunday Brunch at FoodWorks was wonderful, best food We've had at any restaurant for awhile. Ran into friends, sat with them and had much laughter along with our stellar food.
I hope FoodWorks continues to thrive; from the looks of the crowd they are building a following.

Under new management? Might have to try them again, then. We wrote them off a long time ago.

Yes Felix, a FUN place to chill on a sunday afternoon. They encourage laughter (at least with us)...course we are the bunch that is known to launch into 'Bohemian Rhapsody' (in 5 part harmony no less) at a moments notice.. They do have some of the ol' favorites..like the Sweet potato chips with blue cheese dipping sauce and the fried green tomatoes...they have stopped putting that spice on EVERYTHING (dunno what it is but thier use of it made everything taste the same) One of my favorites on the brunch menu is the chicken salad wrap...cheap and filling, the braised red cabbage there is also good.

We went to Easy Bistro because one person wanted regular eggs benedict. That's the only place we could find them on the menu. The brunch was very nice. There wasn't a huge selection, but the food was good and it is a lovely restaurant. I'll try Foodworks on another Sunday. Good to know it is under new management, I had stopped going there. I've had brunch at Northshore Grill, but it's been several years. It was good at that time too. Thanks for the suggestions!

Your mention of Egg's Benedict reminded me of another option, Mercantino. They have the best Egg's Benedict I have had in town and they let you byo Champagne for Mimosa's...

The food at Northshore has gone into a death spiral of decline. Great Bloody Mary bar, though. I hear great things about Foodworks' brunch, but haven't tried it. Does anyone remember the amazing brunches at The Read House... back in the day? I would pull of huge chunks of their amazing smoked salmon. And now I'm really craving smoked salmon.
