We must have gone through the tunnel at the same time. It was just getting frozen. Felix came by to get me to take me home from work.

I did enjoy watching the eight or so men pushing a van out of the way onto a side street. After the vehicles left on the road cleared, no one else came through.

Karen and I left Sams about 4:00. It took over two hours and three detours to drive the three miles home and almost was stranded by the FREAKING IDIOT that thought it a good idea to stop half way up a stinking hill... I managed to drive out, the BMW just ahead of me was stuck as were several other cars.

OK I missed it. IT SNOWED!
Had to get Donna @ walmart Hixson. Got there around 4 and waited till she clocked out @ 630. Drove up 153 to hixson pike, came up lupton drive, and up my hill with no problem. Took about 20 mins to get up the hill and drew a crowd following me, but I made it. Saw a few guys exchanging money after I pulled in my driveway. They must have all been paying back "loans"

Getting home from Dalton (2:40-4:00) - nearly twice the usual drive time. I must give kudos to my otherwise wimpy and traction-impaired Explorer. And to myself as well. Used the lower gears as needed; managed to keep a good distance from cars in front of me, though the same was NOT true of the [fill in the blank of your choice] behind me. Some driving the posted speed limit with no lights on! Grr! Truthfully, it was the scariest winter weather I can ever remember driving in. Brainerd Road was hair-raising. It will be interesting to see what tomorrow a.m. brings, since I need to be out there briefly.
I have not enjoyed this month.

I tried to call in sick today. My boss said, "You don't sound sick." I said, "Well... I'm screwing my sister, is that sick enough for ya?" He still made me come in for 14 hours of, "Is the road really closed?"; "How do I get home?" and "I just had to go to the store for bread and milk. Paul didn't say it would be like this". I start my suspension after the snow melts.

Hubby made it home from work. He clocked out at 7 pm. Found out that my car wipers actually do NOT work. Managed to clean the snow off the windshield with his hands and get out of the parking lot. Took one of his co-workers home. Made it up the steep hill that we live on that had been stymieing pick up trucks all day. Walked in the door at 7:47. He's from Alabama. I have no idea where he learned to drive in the stuff.

Perhaps if I weren't on as steep and canted a slope I could manage it too, but without a snow shovel to at least clear a path, I'm still snowbound.

"What snow? Its just gonna rain. Quote me on that."
"The valley gets almost all rain......book it."
"Whenever they forecast snow for Chattanooga it is almost a sure bet it will not."
"Nashville will get 6 inches of snow... we'll get nothing."
"Even if we get wintry precipitation it will melt."
"Since they've closed the schools, we won't get anything."
"It's not dangerous, it's doing nothing but making the ground wet."Okay folks, maybe the next time I predict snow, y'all will listen to me.
