It's dog food, but I remember that Chuckwagon dog food ad where the chuckwagon comes blazing out of a cabinet and the chases him across the room. I always wished the dog would have caught him just once. Would have made a great SNL parody.
Oops, not local. Sorry.

OMG! Did that actually AIR? Gees! I'd be terrified to shop there. How many women were accosted at that grocery store to warrant such an ad? *And if you thieves come to Beauty and the Beast, my (almost) 80 year old mother will beat the heck out of you and who in the world would believe you didn't 'jump her' first?

Oh, and you guys forgot the "Diamond King". (I forgot his name!) The old joke was that if you put him together with the furniture guys, you would have "A diamond king who goes to church just a LITTLE bit."

That would be J. M. Sanders, "official watch inspector for the Southern Railroad"...glad to take your "MasterCharge" [as it used to be known] or your "Bank American card".
"Come on down here, people, I gotta sell this stuff...I love ya like a brother..." Lived in a little apartment above his store and eventually succumbed to his Demons and did himself in.

Oh, and a local dairy, Grant-Patten, a company that delivered milk to our house when I was a boy. Mr. Penney, the ruddy-cheeked driver, used to bring us children bubble gum.
The motto on Mr. Penney's truck:
"You can whip our cream, but you can't beat our milk."
