They always mean beautiful things like hummingbirds. I always reply by saying that I think of a little child in east Africa with a worm burrowing through his eyeball. Honestly, I couldn't be happier about Halloween, so it never seems to bother me.
The only time I believe it would bother me, is if it was being crammed down my throat too early. Christmas songs on the radio, holly jolly wishes when checking out at Wal-mart. But, merchandise up too early I've learned to live with.
