I enjoy listening to the American Top 40 rebroadcasts from the 70's on Sirius. This past weekend's show was from 04/29/72.
Right before Casey played the #8 song, A Cowboy's Work is Never Done, by Sonny and Cher - he did a promo.
American Top 40 is heard coast to coast and around the world on great radio stations like ..... WFLI, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
How neat it was to hear that - and the memories it brought back.

"No radio talk guys, you know the rules." Is that an inside joke?
I don't post that often and don't know if this was a tongue in cheek reply or for real.

it is both an inside joke & a real "rule."
this thread doesn't fall under the "rule" but if you dare say anything about local chattanooga media it will be deleted.

Yeah heard the same thing. It started up a conversation with the folks in the car about the Top 40 stations from that era... WFLI, WGOW and WDXB. Great memories.

Not exactly true. More like if you bitch or gossip about local media. I'm a global moderator and even I don't care much for the policy, as I tend to prefer a free-for-all to an everyone-play-nice forum, and have since way back in the BBS days, but I understand why the policy is there and support the reasoning behind it. I really can't say more about it than that.
