I talked to my boss today and we can get a discount if everyone really wants to get together one day. I just need to know when and how many people... This bunch has a hard enough time figureing out WHEN, much less HOW MANY! ;D Always seems to end up "Who ain't got noth'n better to do that day" shows up.

the funny thing about the Fat Cat, is that when ordered, it was supposed to hold 300 people. The company selling the boat asked if the Chattanooga Water Taxi company had homeland security coverage. Apparently now a days, if you are purchasing a boat that holds more than 200 or so people, you have to go get homeland security coverage (which is not an easy thing to do) and since The Chattanooga Water Taxi company does NOT have that coverage, they got sent a smaller vessel that only holds about 150 people.

I can't believe the way they painted that thing. Supposedly it was going to be available for people to rent for private events, but I cannot think of a single client of mine that would rent it for a nice event looking like that. crazy. I also heard that owner is doing a bit of liquidating, rumor has it the Stone Fort sold and maybe even a couple of the prostorage facilities...

The paint job was to match the taxi I would say. Seems taste was discarded a while back. But then the main clientelle is tourists. That shifts the paint from 'tasteless' to 'eye-catching'

Does someone have something against Harry (Tank back in the day) and his wife?

Only because his dad is a Harry also, so it differentiates between the two. And Tanks's grandmother works here and you know how grandma's are, once they call you one thing, it's stuck for LIFE!

I assume you mean me exterrs
I have nothing against Harry at all...he has always been honest and upfront with me. I just really don't get the decor on that boat...The $3 boat rides I cannot believe are going to make it profitable. And from the very beginning when he found the boat in Maine he had said it was going to be outfitted for people to rent for events. The people I know that have events are not fraternity's and baseball teams which is all I can imaging wanting to be on that thing.
The stone fort inn selling, well, I find it amusing. I think he has probably wanted it to go away from the beginning, it has been a headache and from what I have seen a money pit from the start. ALthough quite a beautiful money pit.

Harry is going to where the money is, down to the river area. I must applaud him for the effort. although that three weeks of June when he is cut off from civilization will be rough.

Caterer,
I only said that because at the time of my post, there were two posts from you on the same subject. Now I see there is only one. Go figure....

Caterer, if you read one of my other posts, when Harry (Tank) went to order the boat, he requested a 300 seater...because he didn't have Home Land Security insurance coverage, they would not allow him to buy one that big and sent him a 150 seater. This was NOT the original boat he was going to buy. I think he has done a great job with this new company and to expand it already after less than a year is wonderful!
