I watched "Season of the Witch" and "Red Riding Hood" last night....wouldn't rent them again, but they were OK entertainment-wise.

Just had to sit through Jane Eyre... but I did force the wife to sit through Hang Over 2 a couple of weeks ago. You can't pick two more opposite movies.

Saw Mission Impossible at the Majestic last week and was glad I only paid for a matinee. I'm not sure if Perfect Sense is out on DVD yet but was better than expected. It is promoted as a love story but it is really much more than that. A virus causes humans to lose their senses of smell, taste etc .. The first sense they lose is the sense of smell so then they work on enhancing their other senses ... www.empireonline.com/reviews/review.asp?FID=137379

One For the Money, and I enjoyed it for exactly what it was. A movie made from a book that I enjoyed for it's humor and action combined. A few things I'd have liked to have them do more with (like Grandma Mazur, who's character really livens up the books like no other) but all in all I was pleased.

My brother gave our family the movie "Courageous" as part of our Christmas gift. Watched it the other day. It was pretty good, but the message was OUTSTANDING. I recommend it for anyone concerned about the next generation of Americans.

I saw Contraband. It wasn't a waste of time but it wasn't anything I would recommend having to see on the big screen for close to $10 a ticket.

Saw "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" about a month ago, and then saw "The Grey" a couple of weekends ago. I had much higher expectations for both.

Believe it or not I have seen three movies in the last two days, and all of them have rocked. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close; The Woman in Black; and Safehouse. The Woman in Black was more of a cultish sort of movie, but good just the same, and I so did not see the ending coming on that one!

The Dark Knight. It kicked ass. As did The Avengers.

Possibly the worst movie I've seen. Aside from being GRATUITOUSLYLOUD with unrelenting, reality devoid cartoon action and violence, there was little of note. Except for Michael Caine and perhaps Morgan freeman, there was no semblance of acting, and plot "twists" were broadcast way in advance. I suppose one might be kept interested in seeking how Batman escapes the innumerable Perils of Pauline cliff hangers, but I found it all numbing and dumbing.

For me it was Dark Knight Rises. The Nolan Bat-Man Trilogy was the first real grown up super hero movie series I ever saw.(other than the none series film "Watchmen"). Thanks to the way they took Bat-Man, i can't wait to see Man of Steel this year

I don’t know as you’d call it a movie, but it definitely qualifies as a DVD – NRA’s “Combat Focus Shooting and Home Defense Tips.” It has a short but excellent “extra” about which gun to select for personal defense confirming what Longshot told me years ago. I will donate the DVD to ChattState’s library today if they will make it available for people to check out. One needs not be a student/faculty/staff to borrow materials from that library.
