This Akin guy is an absolute idiot. Glad the media isn't trying to imply other Republicans are this stupid... What a gift of a campaign distraction. Interesting article too JT. Gotta love politics this day in age.

According to the Bible, this shouldn't be a problem. If she gets all preggers, just have the rapist marry her. Problem solved. -Deuteronomy 22:28–29

I figure he's not that far off from the "babies from rape are a blessing for the woman" attitude one of the previous Republican candidates seemed to believe.

How do we get such a concentration of stupid people and cowards in elected office? One of the downsides of inherited wealth. The gradual dumbing down of the powerful.

I figure he's not that far off from the "babies from rape are a blessing for the woman" attitude one of the previous Republican candidates seemed to believe. Remember, Jesus was a rape baby.

For some, it is. For some, it's a living hell. For some, the idea of having a child in the first place is less than pleasant. For others it's the best thing that could happen. Why blanket an entire gender with one truth when there is no one truth that fits all men, let alone all women?

Why blanket an entire gender with one truth when there is no one truth that fits all men, let alone all women? That was kind of the theme. I don't think every woman who became pregnant from rape would have the same reaction as the woman in the story. I don't even think some happily married women would find a child a blessing. However, it seems that if carrying the child to term regardless of the circumstances of the conception is the goal denying parental rights to a rapist would be right up there on the list of things to put into legislation. Instead this idea that the rape might have been illegitimate since it resulted in a pregnancy prevents the prosecution of a rapist and makes preventing the rapist from claiming parental rights next to impossible.

How do we get such a concentration of stupid people and cowards in elected office? Elections Poor choices to chose from. Usually voting against the lesser evil.
