Tennessee State Chamber of Commerce & Industry to Offer Workers’ Compensation Seminars Historical Legislative Reform to Impact All Levels NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry is pleased to partner with the Tennessee Division of Workers’ Compensation to announce a series of business seminars detailing the recent Worker's Compensation changes. The seminars will be held across the state to help business owners, HR professionals, managers and those involved in compensation claims understand recent legislative changes to the Workers' Compensation law. Abbie Hudgens, newly named administrator of the new Tennessee Division of Workers’ Compensation, will be conducting the seminars along with department staff. The State Chamber worked with the business community to implement workers’ compensation reforms to address the serious concerns. The new workers’ compensation law contains a number of significant changes including a contested hearing from local courts by creating a new worker's comp administrative system. This will allow claims to be heard through an independent body, in the Division of Workers’ Compensation. To register, please visit www.tnchamber.org, email register@tnchamber.org or call 615-256-5141. The cost is $59.00 per person.
