Chattanooga Aspie History Hunters-New Year's Party

What: What was Chattanooga like 100 years ago? Ring in 2014 by looking back at 1914! Bring your favorite snack or dessert, and a great story, picture, or any other piece of history about Chattanooga (or surrounding areas) that happened this time in 1914.

Families can expect to enjoy the museum at their leisure. A classroom will be provided to have a place to rest, and a hands-on outreach lesson will be available!

Respite Program Development - planning meeting

Who: parents/advocates who desire to create a respite program in our region, like an after-school care program, summer program, in-home respite, or creating a facility like Megan's House in GA. Jinell Hunter has a 15-year-old daughter with Aspergers and she will be coordinating this effort. As you know, CAC programs are a success when we get enough passionate folks to commit their support.

Club Sib

Club Sib is a school age group especially for the siblings of person's with Autism. The group meets every other month for a fun activity but also to have the opportunity to talk about the joys and stressors of having a sibling with Autism.
Latino Outreach: Seminar and Meet & Greet

Get to know the newest program of the CAC. There will be an Autism Seminar presented in English, and then again in Spanish. People are invited to learn about autism and get connected to the autism community. See Latino Outreach Facebook Event for more details.

Chattanooga Aspie History Hunters

CAHH is a group for individuals (ages 14 yrs and up) diagnosed with Asperger's or high-functioning autism who are interested in the history of the Scenic City. Meetings occur once a month.

Ride the Train!
When: Saturday, March 1, 10:00-12:00 p.m.
Where: TN Valley Rail Museum, 4119 Cromwell Rd
Cost: $10 adult, $5 child (3 yrs & up). CASH ONLY!
Families will enjoy a train ride through Missionary Ridge tunnel. The ride is approximately 50 min long with a presentation at the turntable. Train departs at 10:40 am and arrives back at 11:50 am. (Please arrive no later than 10:30 to purchase ticket.)Tour of train yard is included with ticket. Picnic lunches are welcome! **Those with sensitivity to noise are encouraged to bring ear plugs or headphones.**
CAC Workshop: REACH Summer Learning Workshop

Topic: Parcipitants will learn about the REACH Program which is coming back in 2014 after a very successful start last summer. Come find out if it is a good fit for your elementary-age child with autism.
