We stopped by for a Saturday afternoon lunch at the Ruby Rock Grotto located at 3931 St. Elmo Avenue, next to the Incline. The restaurant is very small, with “collectible” decor. Wayne ordered his usual diet drink, but they were out! He asked if there were any other diet drinks, but only water was offered. I always find it unusual for a restaurant to run out of drinks. The Ruby Rock Garden Salads include The Godfather (smoked ham, Genoa Salami, Pepperoni, crumbled Feta cheese, Greek olives, green peppers, pepperoncinis and seasoned croutons), The Chopped Tenderloin (sliced, marinated roasted center cut pork tenderloin, crumbled Feta cheese, marinated artichoke hearts), and The Southern Rail Chicken Grill (marinated chicken from the Barbie). Of course there are several others, and they are all priced at $6.95 for lunch and $7.95 for dinner, served with toasted garlic bread. www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_105028.asp
