The best salad I ever had was Saturday evening at the Blue Water cafe downtown. It was just the "house salad", and not even a big one at that, but it tasted SO good. I guess the "candied pecans" scattered in it really made it for me and my sweet tooth. I ordered the salad with French dressing but got ranch. That may have turned out to be the better choice anyway. Absolutely scrumptious. My beer was good too, so I was told. (Inside joke.) The prices at the place are too steep for my liking, but I've seen worse.

The best house salad I've ever had was at Food Works on the North Shore in the Antique Mall...also with candied pecans, but I had them add a grilled chicken breast and chose the vinaigrette. Simply delicious (and HUGE).
