You have to feed four people and there is no time to go to the store. You open your pantry to find 1 can of Lima Beans, 1 can of creamed corn, 1 can of Rotel, a can of black olives, beef boulion cubes and three packs of Ramen noodles. Your spice rack is full and you have plenty of sugar, flour and corn meal. In your produce drawer you have carrots, celery a head of iceberg lettuce, a bag of spinnach and a small bag of radishes. You also have a large vidalia onion and a bag of russet potatoes. There are tomatoes and bell peppers in your garden along with rosemary and sweet basil. In your meat drawer is 1 pork tenderloin, a pound of hamburger meat and a pound of country sausage. You have milk, eggs and a pound of cheddar cheese.
You have one hour. What meal are you going to make. I want the recipe for recreating it.

Damn, no vinegar. The stuffed bell pepper is a no brainer, but not sure about sides.
(Oh, and the first thing I do is throw that can of creamed corn in the trash.)

Mix all that shit together, feed it to the dog, and order a Chicago deep-dish pizze from Vinny and Joe's and tell them there's a little extra in it for them if they make it to your house in 45 minutes.

Throw the sugar out. Make a Tamale pie. Filling: hamburger, sausage, beef boullion, olives, corn, onions celery and Rotel. Topping: Corn meal, flour, milk, eggs, cheese. Make a salad of lettuce, spinach, carrots, bell peppers and radishes-some raw vidalia rings would go good too. Oh yeah, throw out the canned limas also, yech! Save the pork tenderloin and the Ramen for later.

Those were some good ideas. Anyone else want to suggest a list of available ingredients and see what kind of menu can be planned?

There's also some good Chinese stir fry in there assuming your spice cabinet is set up like mine. Quite simply I would never have lima beans but some form of black beans or hot bean paste. Ramen noodles not so much as always having rice noodles/cellophane noodles/dried pasta/low mein noodles. Where's the rice and soy sauce?

In my haste I missed several ingredients that I almost always have on hand. Worm noticed the lack of vinegar, there should have been extra virgin olive oil on the list. I always have pepper sauce of some kind on hand along with other condiments like worchestershire sauce and soy sauce and a couple or more different steak sauces. And there is always garlic. If it isn't in cloves it's minced and bottled, usually I have it both ways.
The inclusion of the lima beans and creamed corn was due to the fact that I can't think of a use for either as an ingredient to something else. I like the lima beans but I eat them as a side, not as something to cook with.

Way too easy...
1. Baked spaghetti with meat sauce and salad 2. Cheese burgers, potato salad, deviled eggs 3. Marinated grilled pork and veggies 4. Meatloaf, potatoes Au Gratin, spinach salad 5. Breakfast casserole with sausage and cheese
and many, many more...
When my BBF were room-mates, she would go into the kitchen, scan the cub boards and fridge and sigh that there was nothing to eat. I would walk into that same kitchen and make a three course meal. I guess there is an advantage to being the oldest of seven with working parents.

It has been my experience that if you cook a good enough dinner, Ass will be on the dessert menu.

I heard women say, "Thank you, that was delicious." "Dinner was good too."
