From today's TFP: Tuesday, May 29, 2007
By Anne P. Braly Food Editor
Michelle and Ted Wells will be moving their culinary operations to the Hunter Museum of American Art, reopening a closed cafe in the wing added in 2005 and expanding their catering business.
"We already partner with Hunter on so many things and work well together, so this made sense," Mrs. Wells said.
The couple, former owners of The Cupboard on Seventh Street, closed the restaurant a year ago to focus on the catering side of the business, Events with Taste. Mrs. Wells said the move to the Hunter where she and her husband will open the Museum Cafe will be one that she hopes will attract a large number of people, with menu offerings ranging from deli sandwiches and salads to upscale box lunches, along with gourmet wine and beer.
Woo Hoo! Great news, caterer & company. We have been waiting for this. At the preview for the Grandma Moses exhibit, Babs and I enjoyed the preview primo munchies supplied by Events with Taste. Looking forward to many more tasty experiences.

We are shooting for the 13th or 14th. It has just been to busy to focus much on it.

Whatever you do, have Blood wire the new equipment in.
I hear he has 'mad skillz'.

Is the cafe open for lunch business now? Box lunches or what? We want to bring a group there next week. What are the hours for lunch? There is no updated info on the Hunter web page.

I'm pretty sure they are open - I'm not sure what they are serving exactly.

We are open.
we have sandwiches, salads etc..kind of "deli" esque. It has been a bizarre couple of weeks but it is open. Feel free to 752.0990, ask for Suzy and she can give details and book your group, i am somewhat hands off of that area right now.
