Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate Sauce, Godiva Liqueur and good vodka should be all you need. Drizzle some sauce along the edge of a martini glass (good bartenders can make nice patterns, I can't), mix two shots of liqueur to one shot vodka in a shaker with ice, shake well, strain into the martini glass and enjoy. The better the vodka, the better the drink. Splurge on the Grey Goose. Avoid Smirnoff like the plague. Rain or Skyy might do in a pinch.

If you like that sort of thing, go for it. I prefer them without, myself.

I never figured you as a chocolate martini kind of guy Worm. You're kind of like an onion....many layers of Worm.

It's got chocolate, it's got booze. What's not to like?
(Of course, I can't drink more than about two of them. Too sweet to get wasted on.)

I agree with all that Tookie has said here today.

Was she saying please puke in the onions or was she saying a martini is made with gin not vodka?

Yeah, and a Reuben is a sandwich made with corn beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing and rye bread but sandwich shoppes employees will often ask if you want your Reuben with turkey or corned beef or what kind of bread do you want it on. It is getting to be more and more difficult for us purist not to be labeled assholes when we order our traditional foods and beverages.

Yes, JiT, and only "shoppes" would ask such.

Yeah, the spelling was intentional.

Reuben sandwich...I hear it calling me...yes.
Although, I prefer hot brown mustard to thousand island. Salad dressing is for salads. The rest of Justin's comments are entirely acceptable. To me.

A Reuben has Thousand Island. Without it, it becomes just another pissant sandwich.

You ought to see their looks when I ask them if they offer their ham and cheese with ham or turkey.
Try this for a chocolate martini:
2 oz Grey Goose 1/2oz Creme de Cacao Mix in shaker with ice, shake, drain and serve.
For a garnish try a marshmallow. :>

I thought a Reuben was grilled. I have seen a number of places that ask if you want it grilled or don't grill it at all.

1 1/2 shots of Godiva white chocolate liquior 1 1/2 shots of creme de caco 1/2 shot Vanilla vodka 2 1/2 shots half and half
We use to drink those all the time last year I personally liked Frangelica (sp) in mine instead of Creme de Caco (sp)(I am not a fan of its taste) and some chocolate syrup (that may be a drink of another name....I don't know. I prefer Mudslides to Chocolate martinis but, that is just me

I am someone who really does not like chocolate...(I'm weird) I like Tanquerey (sp), light on the tonic, and olives. I rarely drink them...They are a treat! How did rheuben sandwiches get into this thread? Purists?

Here ya go...and with the submission of this recipe the discussion is now closed....cause yes...it is THAT good... Personally I don't like the sweet drinks but this one will make you give back what you didn't steal... 1 1/2 oz of Stoli Vanil 3/4 oz of Godiva White Chocolate liqueur 1/2 oz of Frangelica 1 or 2 oz of milk depending on how big your martini glasses sre..shake over ice till frothy and serve in a chilled martini glass..
Bona Fide!

Gin, Dry Vermouth, Ice and a twist (lemon) or an olive. That, my friends, is a Martini. I will grudgingly allow a GOOD Vodka to sub for the Gin. Anything else is a bastardization served in a Martini glass.

And people bitch at me when I say a round flat piece of dough with anything but tomato sauce on it is not a pizza. White sauce my ass. Whatever.
