We recently visited Moss’ Place II at 8142 East Brainerd Road. This was previously occupied by C.J.’s, Country Time, and later, for a short period of time, Traditions. The restaurant looks pretty much the same as it did during the last juncture. The buffet is still there, but now it is “cafeteria style” where they serve it for you. The price is $6.56 not including drink. The price is good, but you don’t get much meat. On the Saturday we were there, the selections were fried chicken, barbeque pork and barbeque chicken. We both tried the fried chicken – you get one piece. I asked for white meat and she gave me a choice of a breast or a wing. I took the breast, which was very small. Vegetable choices listed for Saturday are macaroni and cheese, green beans, turnip greens, mashed potatoes, rice, okra, and white beans. You also have a choice of roll or corn bread. We both selected mashed potatoes (they didn’t have gravy). I took green beans, while Wayne took creamed corn (it wasn’t on the menu – it must have replaced rice because we didn’t see rice). www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_113313.asp
