I look pretty young, but I'm just back-dated.

Just last weekend I whipped up a batch of my mom's tuna casserole. Just like being home again. The other fave is mashed rutabaga. My grandmother always made it and her house always smelled like it. Not everybody's favorite aroma, but by age 6 I think it had gotten into my DNA.

My dinner tonight is definitely comfort food - takes me back to my grandparents' kitchen. Sopa or soup made of diced potatoes, cubed round steak and tomato sauce served with refried beans, tortillas and Spanish rice.
This is something my grandfather made for us alot when he visited us or we went up north to see him and the rest of our relatives.

My own personal pancake recipe, my own personal scone recipe (with REAL Devon, 'double-clotted,' cream), my own personal oatmeal bread recipe with real butter and honey (NO 'breadmaker!!!!' I make the REAL THING, when baking bread!!), Moose Tracks ice cream from Mayfield, and green tea frappuccinos, from Starbucks, GOOD fried green tomatoes (like at Hughy's, on River Street, in Savannah), steamed oysters (like the fantastic ones at Hughy's, on River Street, in Savannah ~ lol).
