I'd heard the radio spots... so... when I was in Dayton a week or so ago... I thought I'd stop in for lunch.
Bad service. Bad food. (Obviously canned green beans and formerly frozen, pre-fabbed "chicken fried steak" being lowlights.) The ambience was okay, but I was highly unimpressed. Any others have better experiences?

It used to be really good - the lines were out the door. We haven't been in several years.

What Janet said.
Used to be pretty good, was one of my favorite places to eat in Dayton. (Untill that really cool place showed up that over looked the river.... what was it called?)

Neither one sound familar...
it was up the road on the right, overlooking the river. Opened back about 4-5 years ago. Nice owners and they let you brown bag.

I know the one you are talking about - I think it was the Riverside Cafe - but I heard they closed. That may or may not be correct. Great food! I'll have to find out.

I just checked with a friend who lives in Dayton and he says the Riverside Cafe closed almost two years ago. Too bad.
