Our most recent dining out adventure took us to the Market Street Tavern located at 850 Market St. in Miller Plaza. This is the former Cibo! location and the inside still looks a lot like Cibo!. Two salads are listed on the menu – the house salad (locally grown spring mix [Signal Mountain Farm], red onion, Kalamata olives, candied pecans and feta cheese - $4.95) and a Caesar salad (Romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, herbed parmesan cheese crisps and croutons - $5.95). You can add salmon to the Caesar for $4). The Tavern also has Entree Salads (Beef Tenderloin, Crispy Chicken, and Grilled Chicken), priced from $6.95 to $8.95. There’s also a soup-of-the-day for $2.95 (cup) or $4.95 (bowl) served with a slice of Niedlovs bread. We debated between the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms ($9.95) – blue crab stuffed mushrooms served with fresh remoulade and a grilled lemon slice – and the One Pound of Wings with Suck Creek Wings’ Sauce ($7.95). As you can guess, the wings won out. The wings were a bit larger and meatier than most we have been served. They are grilled, then fried and covered with a locally made honey barbeque sauce. You can also have the buffalo sauce (medium or spicy) if you prefer. The wings are served with blue cheese or ranch and celery. We enjoyed the wings and found them to be quite tasty and not as messy as expected. We would definitely order them again. www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_115081.asp
