Suggestion if possible/practical:
Whenever someone is arrested, it would be very instructive if their criminal records (arrests & convictions) could be hyperlinked to their names. The public would gain a far greater appreciation for who's walking the streets out there.

I know this is possible. Every time someone is arrested their record is checked.
If you are wanting to print this each time someone is arrested (Along with their record); there isn't enough ink (Print media) or enough tape (TV and radio) or bandwidth (Internet) to do this every day for every arrest.
Possible, but probably not practical.
BTW, the criminal record of any defendant is inadmissible in court during the guilt/innocent phase.
In other words a jury never hears a "4th offense" DUI case. They only hear a "1st offense" DUI case.
"The Supremes" feel that informing the jury is too instructional and prejudicial.

That is really, really interesting. I did not know that. I guess it makes sense for the jury not to be prejudiced.....but maybe they should know...cuz if you did it before, chances are you're guilty of it again.... Complicated stuff... ~J BTW, the criminal record of any defendant is inadmissible in court during the guilt/innocent phase. In other words a jury never hears a "4 th offense" DUI case.
