A lawsuit has been filed on the death of an inmate at the Hamilton County Jail, alleging he was not given blood pressure medicine he requested.
Judy C. Lawhorn of Cleveland, Tn., mother of James Gregory Colbaugh, filed the Circuit Court complaint against Hamilton County and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department.
The suit, filed by Cleveland attorney Robert S. Thompson, says Colbaugh was trasnferred from jail at Catoosa County to Hamilton County on March 13, 2006.
It says he told jail officials and his mother he was not feeling well and needed his blood pressure medication.
