Attorney Jes Beard Fights Suspension Of Law License posted August 10, 2007 Chattanooga attorney Jes Beard has filed suit in Hamilton County Chancery Court to try to block a two-year suspension of his law license. The suit is brought against the state Board of Professional Responsibility. It says on May 30 a hearing committee appointed by the BPR found he had violated the rules of professional responsibility in his handling of three different cases. The panel ruled that he would have suspend his law practice for two years. Dude has a fool for a client now, for sure.
You must really suck as a lawyer, if all the other lawyers think you suck as a lawyer!
Seriously, I have seen this idiot get his clients MORE jail time and HIGHER fines simply because of his grandstanding and BS in court.
There has always been the joke that if you had a particularly asshattish arrestee, you would always recommend Jes "Walk 'em" Beard as the best, and most feared, defense lawyer around. The look in their eyes as he eloquently pontificated them into more jail time was priceless.
Or so I have heard.
On the downside, who are we gonna recommend for the next two years?
There is hope for the local legal profession as result of this action.

Isn't he the one that testified that his client ate a hot dog before a breath test - resulting in his client blowing above a .10 lol.

An absolutely delightful thread! Even more recent news for Jes is that he lost a case when a former client sued him for malpractice. Part has been overturned, but Jes will have more work to do as he represents himself. ;D It seems that Jes gave his client advise before reading an entire opinion.
When the Tennessee Bar finally manages to get rid of Jes, there ought to be fireworks.

This information is amazing. I am happy to find all this. Anyways, for my bar test I am feeling way too nervous and I would like to subscribe to the online Mobile Bar Review Courses. Does anyone here has experience with any good online course for Bar?
