Budweiser American Ale
So I have had a six pack of Budweiser American Ale and for the price it is pretty good. The aimed for the middle of the road and definitely hit the mark. A balanced malty taste with a decent hop finish. Carbonation is a bit light. This is a very drinkable Ale. I like it. If I could change one thing about it I'd give it a bit more hop finish. It's nice to know that more than likely anywhere USA convenience store will probably carry these so when I'm out in the boonies I can pick up something other than Macro Lagers.

(IRI) Great to see that cascade hops (SNPA) top the list of only growing sector of the beer industry. This list would be particularly interesting if compared to previous years. Unfortunately, some on the list have compromised their hops used in brewing, as the global supply of hops has seen dramatic shortages in the past year, largely due to increasing fuel prices and demand for corn ethanol. The market has had quite an impact on some more than others, notably, Samuel Adams, suddenly tasting more like a regular lager than the famous "Boston lager". Even our beloved Sweetwater 420 lacks the hoppy edge found in those purchased a year ago.

"Budweiser American Ale" Funny name, since Bud's now owned by Belgians. Well at least we've still got Miller Genuine Draft. Oops, that's now SABMiller - London calling... At least we've got Coors, er, at least Molson-Coors - Oh Canada... Go America - brew on. If nothing else, fucking with drunk rednecks is so much more fun Looking up Strohs, BBR, and Schlitz is Left as an exercise to the drunken reader...

While I won't turn one down this will probably be the only six pack I buy of it. It is definitely an ale and not a lager which for me means that I might like it better during the winter. However, there are too many other beers out there that I like better so don't expect me to offer you one after this weekend. I won't have any.

I tried some of the new wheat beer they are selling at Nightfall this past Friday and woke up with the most godawful headache.
Considering I only had two beers and nothing else alcoholic to drink, I knew it wasn't a trypical hangover.
I've been noticing this happening a lot more often when I've been drinking beer, but have yet to have it happen when drinking cider (my normal choice) or whiskey.
Anyone else have the same problem?

Sounds like Chatt is good beer drinking 'town'! I liked the Magnolia Brown ale at Big River, but got a growler of their Stout to go(pretty good too). I likes unfiltered ales mostly...Pyramid Hefeweizen is de-lish.Shiner Dunkleweizen is a great medium-bodied ale with with not quite enough hops (for me). Abita 's Turbo Dog & Ambers are good for the price , as is an old stand-by:Pete's Wicked ale.
Cheers!!

(IRI) Surprised that Shiner is in top ten,it's brewed 50 miles from me. The Bock has gone down in quality since they've gone beyond regional...they make some good seasonal/winter brews though. Red Hook gives me head-aches(almost rather drink some swill like Keystone Light over 'that',ha ha). FatTire doesn't have enough 'bite'/gusto, but is decent.

If you haven't tried it yet you really should go to beverage world in fort O and get a six pack of Hopslam. It is the best american IPA ever.
Just saying.
