Chattanooga Police Homicide Investigators have arrested Regina Corbin 36, of Chattanooga and charged her with Felony Murder and Aggravated Child Abuse in connection of the death of a two month old infant.
On May 30th, Chattanooga Police responded to 2208 E 24th St Court on a call of CPR in progress on a two month old baby. The infant had been left with the babysitter (Corbin) at approximately 1:30 pm while the baby’s mother was at work.
When the mother returned home around 9:00 pm the baby was found unresponsive, 911 was called and CPR was started. The baby was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
An autopsy was preformed the following day revealing the infant had sustained multiple blunt force injuries.
The babysitter has been charged with Felony Murder and Aggravated Child Abuse.

Four months from commission of the crime to an arrest? That's some great police work there, Lou.
