Police are on scene of a bank robbery that just occurred at 3535 Brainerd Road .
According to bank employees, a black male entered the bank around 3 pm wearing a black leather jacket and navy colored hooded sweat shirt. The suspect stepped up to the teller and unrolled a noting saying to hand over $3000 and no one would get hurt. The suspect took the money and fled the bank in an unknown direction of travel.
This is the third time in less than two months that this bank has been robbed. Police are checking the possibility of this suspect being the same individual that robbed the bank last month.
Anyone having any information is asked to contact the FBI or the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.

OK, a guy walks up to a teller with a note; he gets the money and goes.
So this means either: a) the bank has a policy in which employees are instructed to comply, the rationale being that it's better to be safe than sorry
or
b) the robber chose that particular teller for a reason.

the bank should get an armed guard. the other two banks at that intersection have them and you dont hear about them getting robbed all the time.
