A domestic cutting incident at 2224 E. 27th Street resulted in two arrests Tuesday. Chattanooga Police responded to the residence around 1:30 PM after neighbors called about the disturbance. When police arrived, they found 25-year-old Monica Russell Taylor and her husband, 24-year-old Renta Taylor who was suffering from a cut to the upper left eyebrow.
According to the couple, an argument started outside the residence with Mrs. Taylor and her sister-in-law. That disagreement then created conflict between Mr. and Mrs. Taylor. The two went into their home where the argument became physical. Mrs. Taylor stated that Mr. Taylor hit her in the face with his fist after which she cut him across the eyebrow with a kitchen knife.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were arrested; Mrs. Taylor for domestic aggravated assault and Mr. Taylor for a domestic assault warrant stemming from an incident earlier this month. Mr. Taylor was taken to Erlanger for treatment of his injury before being transported to jail on the warrant.
