The victim in a late night shooting incident at 2200 East 26th Street Court admitted that “nosiness” may have gotten him shot.
Police spoke to 18-year-old Richard Allen who stated that he was leaving his girlfriend’s house in Eastlake Courts around 11:30 last night. As he was getting into his car, he observed a large group engaged in a loud argument. Allen said he backed his car up to the group to be “nosy” and as he did so, he heard gunshots and felt a burning sensation in his arm.
Allen drove himself to Erlanger Hospital where he was treated and released for a graze wound. Allen said that he didn’t see who was shooting and didn’t think he was the target in the incident. Allen said that he didn’t recognize anyone from the crowd so police do not have any suspect leads.
