The victim of a shooting incident today at 1200 Arlington Avenue said he was jumped before being shot. The victim told police that he was walking home around 3:15 PM when a large group of men began yelling at him. As he continued to walk home, two men emerged from the group and started a fight with him but he was able to escape their grasp by coming out of his shirt. As he ran away, he heard 3-4 shots and realized that he had been struck in the back.
The victim called police after he reached his home and gave the descriptions of the two men that jumped him. One suspect was described as a light-skinned black male, 5’09, 160lbs, with braids, wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect was described as a dark-skinned black male, 5’05, 155lbs, with short hair, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. The victim wasn’t able to identify anyone else from the group but police are following suspect leads.
The victim was transported to Erlanger Hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries. This investigation will continue.
